I am so thankful to have been a part of Jen's special day. We did two trials together, and in that time I came to know what a lovely person she is, inside and out, and also what her specific wedding makeup needs were. Jen wanted something dramatic, but not TOO dramatic, and something to even out her skintone. Airbrush makeup was of course perfect for evening out her skintone, and also for customizing to her exact match. She likes to be tan, but like most girls in Phoenix, Arizona, she wears SPF on her face, making it a few shades lighter than her chest and arms. That is why oftentimes people have pale or paler faces in pictures. So, for Jen's wedding makeup I custom mixed her airbrush makeup to match her deep tan.

I did the makeup for all Jen's girls. I love this photo showing a quiet moment of prayer/reflection before Jen's life changes forever.

Brides often ask me if the airbrush makeup lasts all day...yes it DOES, through the dinner, the dancing, and on into the night!

Amy & Amber's Wedding Makeup Looks

The first weekend of April began in full swing, or should I say "spring"- with beautiful weather and two beautiful brides!

Amy's bridesmaids' airbrush makeup looks flawless and even-toned in natural sunlight.

Bride Amber's wedding makeup look was more dramatic - perfectly paired with soft cheeks and lips.

Katy's Wedding Makeup

Here I am applying concealer before airbrushing. This hides blemishes when you need a little extra coverage and then the airbrushing seals it seamlessly.

and then apply the airbrushed base. That way the face can be cleaned of all the loose shadow. No raccoon eyes here!

Individual eyelashes placed just right blend into natural lashline and really make eyes pop.

I only airbrush foundation; for eyes and cheeks I use traditional powder makeup applied with brushes (Bobbi Brown makeup brushes are my favorite).

Here's a look at some of my favorites from my kit:

The shadows are highly pigmented and long-wearing, and you can dramatize eyes by deepening any of the colors. I also have the Smokey Eye palette for those who want dramatic wedding makeup.

I also love Dior for wedding makeup, their blushes blend well so it looks like it is part of your skin instead of "sitting on top." This blush in Peechy Keen looks great on most skintones, as does Strawberry Sorbet. Dior eyeshadows also are highly pigmented and blendable.

Lorac bronzers offer subtle shimmer and highlighting without being too shiny. The one shown is Warm Glow, a product with pink undertones that I use often if a bride has chosen dramatic eye makeup and just a flush of color should be worn on cheeks or has very fair skin.

Make Up For Ever is one of my favorite lines as a bridal makeup artist. Their HD microfinish powder is milled so fine it settles beautifully onto skin and gives a smooth matte finish that is never cakey. And you can reapply hours later and have the same effect. I also use their concealer palettes which come in dozens of colors.
