Up the wow factor in your total bridal look with nicely shaped brows. Brows are just as important to your perfect bridal look as your hair and makeup. Badly shaped brows can create an unwanted look in your wedding photos. The most common brow mistakes seen in wedding photos are: 1. The Angry Brow Arches too far away from the eye, resulting in eyes looking closer together than they actually are and a frowning effect. Another Angry Brow - again due to an arch too far from the center of the eye and way too high 2. The Nostalgic Brow Trends in brow shape come and go on models in magazines - like this 'bushy in front, thin in back' look - but when you're looking back on your wedding photos years from now, you don't want to be dated with a look from a trend gone by. 3. The Extreme Brow Too dark brows take attention away from the eyes. The rule of thumb is that dark hair should have brows that are two shades lighter, light hair should have brows that are two shades darker. Brows should not exactly match your haircolor. 4. The Disappearing Brow Photos with missing or too pale brows create a lifeless expression. Use brow shadows and pencils to softly create brow shape. This will mostly be an issue with redheads and fair blondes. Take a Brow! Finally a polished, well-groomed brow! Nice thickness, being fuller in front and tapering towards the end, with a natural arch. Maybe your brows are thin or sparse in places...not to worry! You can fill them in and still have them look natural. I prefer using brow powder with an angled brow brush instead of lining with pencils (again, a more natural look). Brows should not be the exact shade of your haircolor. A good rule to follow: dark hair - two shades lighter light hair - two shades darker. I use the Anastasia dual powder compact with angled brush. Use the lighter color on the thicker area of the brow (front); use the darker color on thinner area (the ends). |
